The Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Initiative (RWSSI) is an AMCOW initiative being implemented by AfDB under its AfDB/AWF Water Sector Activities.

To reduce poverty through attainment of the MDGs by accelerating access to improved rural water supply and sanitation (WSS) facilities in a sustainable manner

Objective
To ensure that 80% of the rural population in Africa has access to safe drinking water supply and sanitation by 2015
