New AMCOW President Emerges PDF Imprimer Envoyer

A new Minister for Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr Mohamed Bahaa El-Din has been sworn in the recently constituted cabinet of the Arab Republic of Egypt. In this position, Dr Mohamed El-Din assumes the position of the President of the African Ministers Council on Water (AMCOW) replacing Dr Hesham Kandil who was recently promoted to the rank of Prime Minister of Egypt. One of the first functions of the new AMCOW President is expected to be the presiding over of the Africa Focus Day on Tuesday, August 28th 2012 during the World Water Week in Stockholm. He is also billed to address the opening plenary of the World Water Week on Monday August 27th 2012.

Meanwhile, the Arab Republic of Egypt has designated Dr Nehal Adel as the new Chair of the AMCOW Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).
